A Neuroscience of the Incarnation

At the center of the Christian faith is the belief that God became a human being. This incarnate God did not arrive as a mature adult, but experienced all the early stages of life that we also experience. This talk considers ways in which modern neuroscience can impact our understanding of the incarnation—and how a belief in the incarnation can shape our neuroscience. Dr. Rebecca Flietstra of Point Loma Nazarene University will discuss the theological issues and how they relate to the neurosciences.
