A Neuroscience of the Incarnation
At the center of the Christian faith is the belief that God became a human being. This incarnate God did not arrive as a mature adult, but experienced all the early stages of life that we also experience. This talk considers ways in which modern neuroscience can impact our understanding of the incarnation—and how a belief in the incarnation can shape our neuroscience. Dr. Rebecca Flietstra of Point Loma Nazarene University will discuss the theological issues and how they relate to the neurosciences. The meeting welcomes all attendees of the Society for Neuroscience. The time, date, and location of this year’s stimulating topic will be announced at www.cneuroscience.org.
