Evangelical Neuroethics 101: Mapping the Minefield
Presented by
Dr. William Struthers of Wheaton College
With the cultural influence of Evangelicals, neuroscientists find themselves engaged with them in arenas ranging from politics and funding to research and ethics. While this dialogue has often been strained, there is opportunity for common ground in the field of Neuroethics. William Struthers of Wheaton College will survey the evangelical theological issues and how they relate to progress in neurosciences. He will give special attention to bioinformatics, stem cell research, euthanasia, and neuromarketing.
A discussion follows the lecture. The meeting
welcomes all attendees of Neuroscience 2005.
